Born in Sydney, NSW in 1891. Enlisted 18/9/1915. Served with the 8th Light Trench Mortar Battery in France, August 1917. Transferred to 3rd Aux. Hosp with 'shell shock' 21/1/1918. Returned to Australia 20/3/1918; discharged as medically unfit.
