The left and right sides of the Board are carved with decorative fluting. There is a plaque detailed the unveiling attached at the base of the board. The Board is hanging in the Royal Newcastle Aero Club House, located on the north side of the New England Highway, 4km west of the Wollombi Road intersection. Notes on veteran names: Records for the death of a P O Potts have not been located on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour or the Commonwealth War Graves Commission database of casualties. All other status codes have been taken from the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour.
