Silverton War Memorial Youth Camp and Second World War Roll of Honour Middle Image Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A large, high-ceilinged stone building, originally opened in 1889 as the Silverton Court House. The building was converted in 1948 to the War Memorial Youth Camp. At the same time, the simple wooden roll of honour listing Silverton's Second World War veterans was hung in the main hall, which was the original court room. It was unveiled at the opening ceremony for the camp on 10 April 1948.
