Frank and Fred Gallagher Memorial Vases Middle Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Two brass vases in memory of the Gallagher brothers, who enlisted on the same day and served together until their deaths. Private Francis Joseph Gallagher died of wounds on 4 October 1917 and Private Frederick Arthur Gallagher was killed in action at Passchendaele Ridge on 5 October 1917. The vases are identical, and have a height of 12 inches, a diameter at the top of 3.5 inches and 4.5 inches at the base.
