Description / Background

A large brass plaque attached to the front wall of the church in an open alcove. The names of First World War and Second World War veterans and the inscriptions are raised, as are the emblems of the Presbyterian Church and an (unofficial) tri-service emblem with the anchor, wings and rising sun representing the Navy, Air Force and Army respectively. The King’s Crown, i.e. pre 1953, is a reference to the monarchy and Australia as member of the Commonwealth. The plaque is flanked on both sides by the Australian flag and the Union Jack. Also in the alcove are three memorial stained glass windows and a plaque to an individual First World War veteran.

St David's Uniting was formerly a Presbyterian church.
