Description / Background

A low brick fence with wrought iron double gates. On the top of both gates sits the crest of the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.). The dedication was by Dean of Newcastle W. A. Hardie. The memorial is located on the corner of King Street and Naughton Avenue.

Inscription

A.M.D.C. To the memory of those who made the Supreme Sacrifice and in honour of those who served in World War II.
