Description / Background

The memorial is a steel flagpole mounted in the centre of a two-level base. The bottom level is made of three of bricks, held in place with concrete and painted white. The top level is inset and is made up of four layers of bricks held in place with concrete and painted white. At the base of the flagpole are two black granite dedication plaques. 

On the eastern side of the top layer of the base are two black plaque listing the names of those who served in the Second World War cut in gold lettering. On the western side are similar plaques. The left hand-side plaque has additional Second World War names and the plaque on the right lists those who served in Vietnam and Korea. A gold border decorates each plaque.

The memorial is located on a roundabout in the centre of the main precinct of Wakool. The dedication date is unknown.
