Cabra-Vale Diggers Club Vietnam War Memorial Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The Cabra-Vale Diggers Club Vietnam War Memorial consists of three main elements. The focal point is a bronze statue of two soldiers, one Australian and one Vietnamese, sitting on a pile of sandbags. The sculptor was Do Trong Nhon. The artwork is positioned on top of a black stone plinth, which bears the dedication. The whole is located within the sunken pool of a fountain. Behind the pool is a memorial wall, which is inset with multiple honour roll panels, inscribed with the names of those who served. Along the front edge of the pool are four flagpoles. The sculpture was originally donated by the Community of Cabramatta and was officially unveiled by Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair A.O. on 31 August 1991. The plinth and the wall are later additions to the site.
