Description / Background

The Coraki Presbyterian Church First World War Roll of Honor is a polished cedar board, manufactured by Brown and Jolly, furniture manufacturers of Lismore. At the top it has a classically designed Gothic shaped pediment that is decorated with paintings of the Union Jack and Australian flags. On either side are carved columns with a supporting shelf at the bottom. This shelf is is in turn supported by two carved corbels.

The Richmond River Herald, 27 June 1919 advertised the unveiling of the memorial at the Coraki Presbyterian Church on Sunday 29 June. A detailed report of the ceremony was published in the paper shortly after on 1 July. The artistic board listed the names of the 52 members of the church who had enlisted from the Coraki Charge. Reverend J. Lundie officiated at the dedication service. The unveiling "was performed by Mesdames Polson and Scott, who were each represented at the war by three sons, one in each instance sacrificing his son." The report stated that the board was similar to others in the district.

The has since been relocated to the Coraki FNC Uniting Church.
