It is mounted on a sandstone wall near Dee Why Beach, however, it is likely it was moved there from its original setting. On the back of the wall is a bronze plaque commemorating 70 years of Anzac Day services by the Dee Why RSL sub-Branch. Sub-branch by the Dee Why R.S.L. Club Ltd, to celebrate their 70 years of continual Anzac services at this Shrine of Remembrance in memory of those local Service Men and Women who answered the call to arms in all wars for the defence of our Nation and left our shores with many never returning, to protect our democratic way of life and preserve peace and freedom to the nations of the World.
