Dubbo No. 2 Stores Depot Commanding Officers Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The memorial is a polished timber honour roll of Commanding Officers from the No 2 Stores RAAF Depot Detachment 'D' during the period 1953 to 1983. It has a curved pediment at the top and neat gold lettering throughout. The names of the commanding officers are listed in two columns with their rank and dates of service at the depot. A number of the officers served in the Second World War and a number were seconded from the Royal Air Force. The honour roll was located at the depot in Cobra Street, Dubbo from 1953 to 1983. It is now located in the museum at the Western Plains Cultural Centre. The Dubbo RAAF Stores Depot was designed by Sidney Williams and Co. and was built from 1940 to 1943. It was known as No. 2 Stores Depot Detachment D from 1952 to 1992. The depot was closed in 1995 and is now privately owned.
