Description / Background

The Emmaville Cemetery War Memorial consists of a series of local bushrocks, with bronze plaques attached. The main plaque is an honour roll of 63 veterans who are buried on site, who served in various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. There is also a plaque in the shape of a laurel wreath, surrounding an eternal flame bearing the words 'Lest we forget'. The remaining plaques are the emblems of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, the Royal Australian Navy, and the Royal Australian Air Force.
