The gates consist of four stone pillars, joined by metal gates. The two centre pillars are taller and have marble honour rolls attached for the First and Second World Wars. The left, or north, pillar is for the First World War and the right, or south, is for the Second World War. In 2023, two brass plaques have been attached to the two outer pillars. They are inscribed with dedications to those who have served in later conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
