Description / Background

The memorial is a curved brick wall, located in the Glen Innes Cemetery. Attached to the wall are numerous plaques, inscribed with the names and service details of veterans. In front of the wall is a low plinth, which also bears a plaque. The plaque is decorated with a laurel wreath, surrounding the words 'Lest we forget'.

Plans for the memorial wall were published in the Glen Innes Examiner on 6 September 1971. The unveiling occurred on Anzac Day, 25 April 1972 and was reported in the Examiner the following day.
