Description / Background

This honour roll is located inside the Greenethorpe War Memorial Hall. It is made of Queensland Maple and lists the names of 88 service men and women from the Greenethorpe district who served in the Second World War. The names are printed in gold across four columns. A prefix of a small gold cross identifies nine veterans who were killed in action. The title of the board is highlighted with drop shadow lettering.

The roll was unveiled on 26 September 1947, during the dedication of the new memorial porch for the hall (The Grenfell Record, 9 October 1947).
