Inverell Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam Honour Roll Middle Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This large bronze honour roll lists the names of 87 veterans of Inverell and district who served in the Korean War, Malayan Emergency, and Vietnam War. Five veterans are listed as killed in action. The roll was made by the Uralla Foundry. It has Art Deco details at the top and features a stylised emblem of the Australian Defence Force. It includes the the Rising Sun badge of the Australian Army, wings for the Royal Australian Air Force, and an anchor for the Royal Australian Navy. The memorial is attached to the front wall of the entrance building to the Inverell Memorial and District Olympic Pool. It is accompanied by several other memorial plaques, including the matching Inverell Iraq, Afghanistan and Peacekeeping Honour Roll. Throughout the year, various commemorative services are held at the Inverell War Memorial, located in front of the pool building. Note about the veterans: Some of these Vietnam veterans are also listed on the honour roll for the Inverell Second World War and Vietnam Memorial Grove.
