Description / Background

The Kearsley Remembrance Garden is dedicated to all who have served. At the cente of the space is a black granite monument, which represents each of the local lives lost during periods of conflict and peace. The garden was established in 2010 and is the site of commemorative services.

Around the perimeter of the garden are several timber 'Benches of Remembrance', each with numerous individual plaques attached. The plaques are inscribed with the names of local men and women who served in the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army, and Royal Australian Air Force during the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and conflicts since. The names listed in the table below are from the First and Second World War plaques.

Also on site is a Lone Pine, which was dedicated on 25 April 2013.
