Description / Background

The memorial is a tall, rectangular, polished timber honour roll for those who served in the Second World War. Its base piece is carved to resemble three steps and there are carved timber supports on each side. The names are printed in gold in two columns in the centre of the board. All except the last two names, Sister E. Dwyer and Sister J. Lomax, are in alphabetical order.

The roll is located in the Kootingal War Memorial Hall, which was opened on 17 December 1954. It is uncertain whether the roll was dedicated at the same time.

Access to the memorial is restricted to the opening hours of the hall.
