The tree is located in Kootingal Memory Park. Inscription In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings and in memory of Arthur Hillier, who was killed at Lone Pine, August 1915. This tree was grown from a seed of the ALEPPO PINE at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, which originated from a lone pine on Plateau 400 on the Gallipoli Peninsula. It was propagated by Fred Hillier and planted by Tim and Toby Hillier, great grandchildren of Arthur, on ANZAC Day, 1990. A Kootingal and District Lions Club Project.
