Description / Background

These memorial gates consist of two brick pillars, each inset with a marble tablet. The tablets are inscribed with a dedication and the names of two veterans from Lyndhurst or district who served in the Second World War. A pair of decorative metal gates is suspended from the pillars.

The gates are located outside the Lyndhurst Memorial Hall and were erected around March 1954.
