Description / Background

The Murrurundi Shire War and Services Honour Roll is a black granite pillar, standing on a brick foundation. Inscribed on the sides of the pillar are an honour roll for conflicts and peace keeping missions in which Australia has been involved. A plaque is attached to the front side of the brick base, giving the official name of the memorial.

The pillar is located outside of the Murrurundi Memorial Hall, next to the Murrurundi Memorial Garden. Various commemorative services are held at the site throughout the year.
