Description / Background

The war memorial is a bell installed within a tower of the former St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Tamworth. It was established in memory of the men in the parish who fell in the Second World War. The bell is accompanied by an honour roll which is inscribed on a white marble tablet at the entrance to the tower. The tablet is styled in the form of an open book.

The foundation stone of the church was installed in the early 1860s and when it was closed in the twentieth century, it fell into disrepair. It was purchased and opened as The Bell House Cafe in 2021.
