Description / Background

The memorial is a simple bronze plaque, which features a gold Latin Cross and a statement in memory of the Korean War.

On 2 June 2011, the Korea War Veterans Association NSW was awarded a 'Saluting Their Service' ' grant to install the plaque in Upper Horton, as well as in the surrounding towns of Bingara, Gravesend, North Star, Warialda, Yallaroi Hall, and Croppa Creek.

Upper Horton is a small village, accessible via Bingara. The plaque was once located in the Upper Horton Hall. It has since been moved to the Upper Horton Sports Club and access is restricted to the opening hours of the club.
