It is located within a metal shelter, positioned behind the Werris Creek War Memorial. The shelter is made of corrugated iron sheeting and features the emblems of the Returned Services League of Australia, the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force, and the Australian Army. Mr Paul Moules, secretary of the Werris Creek RSL sub-Branch, researched the roll over some five years. It was installed using grant money and sub-Branch funding. In 2021, the last page was added, which includes the current and known local serving members. In May 2022, Mr Moules said the roll is a combined history of service members who enlisted and are known through: current and past sub-Branch members and minute records dating back to 1957 names from the Werris Creek Railways Employees First World War Roll of Honour and the St Bedes Church of England Honour Board Inscription Shelter In honour of those who serve Werris Creek Community Members Military Service Roll 1914–2018 Related memorials Werris Creek War Memorial Werris Creek Railways Employees First World War Roll of Honour Veterans listed on this memorial Veterans listed on this memorial Sort by Family nameGiven nameWar Order AscDesc Items per page 1050100- All - Apply Last held rank Given name Family name Conflict/s Service No. Service Campaign Read more Warrant Officer WE Pinkney Second World War, 1939–45 15617 Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) view Leading Aircraftman HE Platt Second World War, 1939–45 130214 Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) view OH Pomroy view T Porter 8513287 Royal Australian Navy (RAN) view Gunner C Portsmouth Second World War, 1939–45 N163108 Australian Army - Second Australian Imperial Force (2nd AIF) view Gunner F Portsmouth Second World War, 1939–45 N163617 Australian Army - Second Australian Imperial Force (2nd AIF) view Signalman VJ Potter Second World War, 1939–45 NX118444 (N119681) Australian Army - Second Australian Imperial Force (2nd AIF) view Driver JD Powell First World War, 1914–18 2773 Australian Army - First Australian Imperial Force (1st AIF) view Private HE Presland Second World War, 1939–45 NX160576 (N156179) Australian Army - Second Australian Imperial Force (2nd AIF) view Lance Corporal WJ Presland Second World War, 1939–45 N164419 Australian Army - Second Australian Imperial Force (2nd AIF) view Pagination « First First page ‹ Previous Previous page … 62 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70 … Next › Next page Last » Last page Do you know more about this war Memorial?
