Description / Background

The Werris Creek Community Members Military Service Roll 1914–2018 is a book of remembrance, containing more than 950 names. It is located within a metal shelter, positioned behind the Werris Creek War Memorial

The shelter is made of corrugated iron sheeting and features the emblems of the Returned Services League of Australia, the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force, and the Australian Army. 

Mr Paul Moules, secretary of the Werris Creek RSL sub-Branch, researched the roll over some five years. It was installed using grant money and sub-Branch funding. In 2021, the last page was added, which includes the current and known local serving members.

In May 2022, Mr Moules said the roll is a combined history of service members who enlisted and are known through:
