Remembrance Day recalls the First World War Armistice coming into effect at 11am on 11 November 1918.
At 11am on 11 November 2021, Australians are encouraged to pause for one minute of silence to remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

The red poppy
Poppies are often worn on Remembrance Day. The image below shows the 'Poppy Project Sculpture' in Gosford Memorial Park, which was installed in 2015 for the Centenary of Anzac commemorations.
