St Andrew's Anglican Church WWII Memorial Windows, Wahroonga Middle Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Two windows are described here: The great east window: designed by Mr John Rudecki of John Ashwine. He also designed the Caxton window in the Mitchel Library of the State Library of NSW. It represents the miracle of the loaves and fishes. The St Chad's, Cremorne window (now in St Andrew's): An emblem on the bottom right hand corner shows the crossed keys of the kingdom behind the Bishop's mitre and the word 'New Guinea'. The Union Jack and Australian flags were hung in the church in 1940 at the outbreak of the Second World War. Inscription Great east window: Thanksgiving for Peace. To the Glory of God.
