THE STERN OF THE TORPEDO BOAT DESTROYER, FIRST BUILT FOR THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY, IS EMBODIED IN THIS MEMORIAL. IT WAS THE LAST CLASS OF BRITISH WARSHIP DESIGNED WITH AN OUTBOARD RUDDER.
