Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre Middle Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre is a community swimming complex, with a fitness centre. It was opened on 30 November 2013 in honour of all those who have served. This modern facility replaces the original Moss Vale Memorial Swimming Pool, which was opened in 1965. The original opening plaque hangs inside the foyer of the new building. On a wall overlooking the indoor pools, is a commemorative artwork by artist Thomas Bucich. It features three large metal poppies, flanking the words 'We remember them'. The piece was unveiled on 11 November 2015. This commemorative work was officially unveiled on 11th November 2015 by Major of Wingecarribee Shire Council Councillor Larry Whipper The artist, Thomas Bucich, was commissioned by Wingecarribee Shire Council to design, fabricate and install the work for the commemoration of the centenary of Anzac.
