Description / Background

The memorial is a timber honour roll for the First World War. It features carved details on the sides and a classical pediment at the top. The list of names is printed in gold in the centre of the board.

Around 1990, the roll was displayed in the Methodist Church in Normanhurst, which was previously called South Hornsby. The church was located at the corner of Hinemoa Avenue and Pennant Hills Road. The roll was lost for a period but has since been found and moved to the Hornsby Shire Historical Society's Museum in Kenley Park, Normanhurst.
