A hall built from community funds, adjoining the heritage listed School of Arts hall built in 1904.
The hall is a steel framed building with masonry inserted between the stanchions. The floor is on stirrups and is made of Murray Pine (cypress). The hall was built as a memorial dedicated to those from Finley who served in the Second World War, 14 of whom gave their lives.
The community started raising funds from 1942, and in 1953, with sufficient funding raised, the committee called tenders. On 17 March 1956, the foundation stone dedicating the building as a war memorial was laid by the Hon Joe Lawson MLA, member for Murray. The hall was opened during July 1957 and has become a very important venue for community events in Finley.
