It is attached to the northern internal wall of St Paul's Presbyterian Church in Armidale, NSW. The plaque lists the names of the young men of the congregation who lost their lives in the Second World War. The Armidale sub-Branch of the Returned Sailors', Soldiers' and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (R. S. S. & A. I. L. The well-attended "service of Dedication" was described in detail in the Armidale Express on 20 March 1950. The Reverend A.M. Stevenson was the occasional preacher and the service was conducted by Reverend H. MacNeil Saunders. The service featured a speech by Mr Stevenson and the "citation of the Service Unto Death" was delivered by Mr Saunders. Following the citation, he read out the names appearing on the plaque and Mr Stevenson unveiled the memorial. Access to the roll is restricted to the opening hours of the church.
