Enlisted September 1915, a tram driver aged 42. Had previously served in the British Army (East Lancs Regiment). In France from June 1916. Reporting MIA and a court of enquiry ruled KIA. Body was recovered in 1924. His company had captured German trenches and he was manning a machine gun with three others. The trench was retaken by the Germany army. Three of the machine gun company were captured and became POWs, Private Rogerson was killed. Last known address: Dover', Vernon Street
