Enlisted aged 20 years in October 1915 (he was a short hand typist). In France from January 1917. Wounded in action - gun shot wound to thigh and shrapnel to face in March 1917. Rejoined Unit in October 1917. Invalided to London with trench fever in May 1918 and back to the front in October of that year. Last known address: 20 Gladstone Street
