Enlisted April 1916, aged 22. Wounded in action June 1917 (grenade fragments to back). Later in the year was sheltering in a dug out with several other soldiers when it suffered a direct hit. Many soldiers were killed. The bodies of Private Lee and one other soldier were never found. Reported Missing in Action October 1917. Subsequently declared KIA, aged 23. Last known address: 12 Datchett Street
