The memorial is positioned on the wall of a classroom in the old Carlingford Public School building on Marsden Road. The property is now used by Macquarie Community College. Inscription In loving memory of Frederick I. Kilpatrick Corporal N.S.W. Lancers Parramatta Half Squadron and Assistant Teacher Public School Carlingford Who fell on the battlefield at Rendsburg, South Africa on the 16th Jan. 1900 aged 26 Years. Erected by the school pupils and friends.
