K13 Submarine Memorial Park
Plaque:
This park was donated to the city of Parramatta and the Memorial was erected in honour of H. M. Submarine Service Royal Navy by Charles Albert Harry Freestone, a survivor of K13, who after leaving the Royal Navy sounded and developed the business of C. A. Freestone PTY. LTD. In Parramatta and district.
These plaques are the gift of commander submarines, officers and men of Fourth Submarine Division, Royal Navy Balmoral and the Commander and his Officers are guardians of this memorial in perpetuity.

They that go down to the sea in ships and occupy their business in great waters. These men see the works of the Lord and his wonders are in the deep. Psalm 07 Verse 23.
This memorial has been created in memory of those Officers and Men of the Commonwealth who gave their lives in submarines while serving the cause of freedom. It is called the K13 memorial in particular memory of those lost in HMS Submarine K13.
The plaques giving the submarine losses before the end of the first world war came from the submarine memorial on the Thames embankment London.
