Cessnock RSL sub-Branch Hall First World War Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This war memorial is a white marble honour roll for the First World War. The centre of the roll has been shaped to resemble a scroll. The names of 15 men who served in the war are incised on the scroll, and the letters blackened. The scroll is suspended from a decorative rope, also sculpted from the marble. The origins of this roll are unknown. It was previously located in the Bellbird Community Centre in Bellbird, NSW. The building was demolished and the roll was moved to the Cessnock RSL sub-Branch Hall in Cessnock, NSW. It hangs alongside the Cessnock RSL sub-Branch Hall Second World War Honour Roll.
