Description / Background

Large monument, made of red and grey granite and concrete, with names engraved in gold. The foundation stone was laid on 24 May 1928 and the memorial was unveiled later that year on 10 November. 

The memorial is located on a roundabout at the intersection of Sheridan and Virgil Streets and Railway Parade.
