Jugiong Second World War Memorial Park and Gates Middle Image Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Jungiong Memorial Park was constructed in the 1950s in honour of those who served in the Second World War. At the entrance, are memorial gates made of steel with concrete posts. The gates are dedicated to two soldiers who fell during the war. The gates were constructed in 1952 and opened on 15 May 1954. There is also a metal flagpole located on the east side of the gates. The memorial is located between the rest area and showground. Inscription Gate plaque 1 Jugiong War Memorial Park in memory of those who served their country 1939-1945. Gate plaque 2 Erected to the memory of John Timothy Franks and Oliver Willis Osborne who gave their lives for their country 1939-1945.
