Kokoda Park is built on the site of Kokoda Court and has been named to preserve the association of the area with the former court and the memory of the Kokoda campaign. The park was developed under the community employment programme and was dedicated to the people of St Marys by His Worship the Mayor Alderman Brain King AM on 30 August 1986.
