Lismore Cenotaph

Circular monument with columns faced with black stone, which is the centrepiece of the forecourt of the Lismore Memorial Baths. The monument bears an honour roll for the Second World War, Korean War and South East Asia Forces. Originally dedicated on 11 November 1961, the memorial was restored and re-dedicated on 2 March 2002.

• W L Shepherd may be Walter Lewis Shepherd, died of wounds/prisoner of war (DOW/POW).
• A J Rutherford could be either Albert John Rutherford DOD/POW or Allan James Rutherford, Acc Kd, both of Lismore. The status code for this veteran has also been given as KIA.
• The cause of death for veteran W D Hatt is not clear. The Australian War Memorial gives the cause of death for H C Youngberry as unknown, he was a POW. These two veterans have thus been given the status In Memoriam.
