Mudgee Second World War Memorial Clock Tower Middle Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This war memorial is a clock tower, built in honour of those who served in the Second World War. It is made of red bricks and is topped by a large lamp. There are clock faces on each side of the tower, as well as smaller lamps. The front face of the tower features a bronze laurel wreath and three bronze plaques, which are inscribed with an honour roll for the war. At the base of the front and back faces are several other plaques, one remembering the 50th anniversary of the war. The clock was unveiled around June 1952 and the rolls were unveiled on 25 April 1953. The memorial is located on a roundabout in the Mudgee town centre. It is surrounded by neat garden beds.
