Alstonville RSL sub-Branch Memorial Garden Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The memorial is an oval-shaped garden, containing a variety of plants and shrubs. Positioned among the plants is a bushrock bearing the dedication plaque and the emblem of the Returned and Services League (RSL) Australia. The garden is edged with two rows of brick pavers and it appears small memorial plaques were once attached to them. The garden is the result of co-operation between Ballina Shire Council, the Alstonville RSL sub-Branch, and the Department of Veterans' Affairs. It was unveiled by the Hon. Larry Anthony M.P., Federal Member for Richmond, on 11 November 2000. The garden is located within Elizabeth Ann Brown Park in Alstonville, NSW. The park also contains the Alstonville War Memorial.
