Casino Memorial Pool 75th Anniversary of Remembrance Day Plaque Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This plaque commemorates the 75th anniversary of Remembrance Day, on 11 November 1993. The memorial is set on a rock within a small garden located at the entrance to the Casino War Memorial Pool. Another commemorative plaque is set within the same garden on a nearby rock. On the anniversary, then Prime Minister the Hon. Paul Keating delivered a commemorative address at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. An unknown soldier, referred to as the Unknown Australian Soldier, was interred at the Australian War Memorial that same day.
