The memorial is set on a rock within a small garden located at the entrance to the Casino War Memorial Pool. Another commemorative plaque is set within the same garden on a nearby rock. 'Australia Remembers 1945-1995' was a program developed by the Australian Government to commemorate this anniversary. The memorial was sponsored by the Casino RSL Womens Auxiliary.
