Lyle Houlahan Park Gun Dedication Memorial, Moree Middle Image Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The two artillery pieces located in Moree's Lyle Houlahan Park commemorate Australians who have served in all wars. The first is a German Trench Mortar (7.6cm) from 1914 and the second is an Australian 25 pound Howitzer from 1943. Dedicated on 18 August 2009, the artillery was donated to the Moree Plains people by the Moree and District Services Club and restored by the Moree Plains Shire Council. A dedication plaque is attached to a large bushrock nearby.
