The Numulgi Memorial Hall is constructed of timber with a galvanised iron roof which was typical of the post First World War period. It houses two honour rolls dedicated to members of the community who served in the First and Second World War. The building has a high gabled roof with a smaller alcove hallway at the front entrance.
The new hall, which replaced an earlier smaller hall, was officially opened by Councillor W T Missingham on 9 October 1919. A grand concert followed the opening ceremony together with a dance into the evening (Northern Star, 1 November 1919). The land for the hall site had been donated by Mr W Smith of Bexhill, and the erection of the hall supervised by Mr T McKinnon, with voluntary construction labour.
The hall was gazetted as the Numulgi Soldiers' Memorial Hall on 4 November 1919 in the Government Gazette of NSW, 7 November 1919.
