Description / Background

This war memorial is a large timber honour board, comprised of 10 panels, on which veterans' names are recorded in gilt. The board is positioned across the back wall of St Clement's Anglican Church in Mosman, NSW, beneath a series of four stained glass windows. It is flanked by the Australian flag and the Union Jack, as well as several naval badges. These badges commemorate the long association between HMAS Penguin, the 4th Submarine Squadron, and the church.
