It consists of a central, varnished-timber panel, which is carved in a classical style. It features doric columns at each side and has three name panels attached. There are also two smaller, varnished-timber name panels, attached on the left and right sides of the main board. These supplementary panels are of matching design. Each panel on the central board includes 31 names and each supplementary panel has 10 names. In total, 113 names are inscribed on this war memorial. The board was purchased and donated to the church by Mr and Mrs J. Franki in memory of their son, Lance Corporal Stirling Napier Franki. A dedication to Stirling is on the base of the board. Mr J. Franki was the Managing Director of the Company. The Mort Bay and Engineering Company were paid to complete the lettering on the memorial at a cost of £2, 8s, 9d. The cost was recovered through the raising of a special offertory taken up in October 1917 (£2,10s, 6d raised). The memorial was dedicated on 7 August 1917 by the Dean of Sydney, Reverend Albert Talbot, at a choral service. The Dean preached the sermon at the same service.
